Rise early this morning for a unique experience, to attend the famous Tournament of Roses Parade. Prepare to be dazzled and inspired by the extraordinary sights and sounds. As the sun rises on New Year's morning, the streets of Pasadena come alive. Admire the elaborate floats as they glide by, decorated with fresh flowers and other natural materials. Each float tells its own story. Some floats carry local celebrities, or dignitaries and others feature animated figures. Following the parade, return to the hotel. After lunch, head to Santa Monica, the quintessential Southern California beach town. Stroll along the famous Third Street Promenade, buzzing with shoppers and street performers. The ship docks in Huatulco, situated on Mexico's Pacific Coast in the state of Oaxaca, offering 9 bays and 36 beaches. Head to the most popular beach La Entrega, with clean white sand and calm waters, perfect for snorkeling, swimming, or just relaxing. Huatulco features archaeological sites to explore including the pre-Hispanic ruins in nearby Parque Eco-Arqueológico Copalita. The region is a haven for bird lovers with more than 225 bird species, including a number of them that are endemic to Mexico, like the Colima pygmy owl, and the wildly colorful orange-breasted bunting and citreoline trogon. The Radisson Hotel was way above expectations and all others were very nice. The bus with wifi and charging ability was very nice and allowed me to share the trip with others while traveling.
