DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Vienna and Transfer to Bratislava
Arrive in Vienna and transfer to your hotel in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, set on the Danube by the border of Austria and Hungary. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by a reception. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Thursday - Bratislava Walking Tour
Embark on a walking tour of Bratislava's historic Old Town, nestled between the steep Castle Hill and the Danube River. Learn about Bratislava's long and turbulent history, as you stroll along the Old Town. View the elegant pale pink and white Primatial Square, with its Renaissance fountain and the Old Town Hall, dating from the 15th century. Continue to Franciscan Square, named after its 18th century Franciscan church and monastery. Pass by Mirbach Palace, a Rococo style residence housing a permanent exhibition of the Bratislava City Gallery. Afterward, visit the 15th century St. Martin's Cathedral. During the Ottoman occupation of Budapest, the church served as the coronation site for Hungarian kings. Spend the rest of the day at leisure

DAY 4, Friday - Travel to Vienna, City Tour of Vienna, Schonbrunn Palace
Depart Bratislava and travel to Vienna, Austria's capital city. On arrival, begin the tour along the famous Ringstrasse where you pass many popular tourist attractions. View the impressive Vienna State Opera, and the nearby Hofburg Palace, the former imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty. Next, admire the Parliament building, the striking City Hall, the Museum of Art History, and the Museum of Natural History. In the afternoon, visit Schonbrunn Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the lavishly decorated chambers, a testament to the wealth and power of the Habsburg dynasty. Stroll through the manicured gardens and admire the exotic plants in the Orangery Garden

DAY 5, Saturday - Full Day in Bratislava, or Optional Full Day Brno City Tour
Today is free to explore Bratislava on your own. Perhaps, join the optional Full Day Brno City Tour. Depart Bratislava, and travel to the city of Brno in the Czech Republic, located on the eastern foothills of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Discover the history, modern architecture, and culture of Brno during your city tour. View Spilberk Castle, dominating the skyline of Brno, built in the mid-13th century as a seat for rulers of Moravia. In the heart of the city admire the imposing Neo-Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter & Paul. Free time to sample Czech specialties and to explore the city independently, before returning to Bratislava

DAY 6, Sunday - Travel to Budapest, City Tour of Budapest
Begin the day with a scenic drive to Budapest, capital of Hungary, known for its stunning architecture, thermal baths, and cuisine. On arrival, explore the Pest side with a chance to view the Parliament Building, the Royal Palace, St. Stephen's Basilica, and Heroes' Square. Cross the Danube River on the Elizabeth Bridge into the Buda Hills. Visit Castle Hill to see the 13th century Matthias Coronation Church with its intricate Gothic design. Ascend to the Fisherman's Bastion for panoramic views of the city below. Spend free time and later head back to Bratislava

DAY 7, Monday - Full Day in Bratislava, or Optional Small Carpathian Wine Region Tour
Spend the day at leisure or participate in the optional Small Carpathian Wine Region Tour. Travel to the Small Carpathian wine region. Visit Red Stone Castle with its imposing stone walls, and towering turrets. Learn about the castle's storied history, having served as a royal residence and military stronghold over the centuries. Next, visit craft workshops, and see a wine cellar that's over 500 years old. The expert sommelier will introduce you to some of the finest Slovakian wines and educate you about this wine-growing region. Conclude with wine tasting of the local varietals. Arrive in Bratislava late afternoon

DAY 8, Tuesday - Full Day in Bratislava, or Optional Full Day Banska Bystrica Tour
On your last day at leisure choose the optional Banska Bystrica Tour. Embark on a journey to Banska Bystrica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This copper mining town, was part of the exclusive trio of the richest central Slovakian mining towns, nestled in the Low Tatras Mountain range. Explore the town's historic center. View the central SNP square, the slender Clock tower, St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, and the well preserved Thurzo's House. Proceed to the Namestie Stefana Moyzesa Square flanked by buildings that once formed the town castle, built in the 12th and 13th centuries. Free time to further explore the town and to have lunch. Tonight at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager

Transfer to the airport in Vienna for your departure flight
