Afterwards, board the world-famous Flam Railway, named one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, that takes you into Norway's high glacial regions. DAY 5 - Travel to Bergen, Farm Visit, Grieg's Troldhaugen, Evening Embarkation
Your stop this morning is at a typical Norwegian farm. Join a local family at their farmhouse as they host you for lunch and tell you about its history before proceeding to Bergen, the unofficial capital of western Norway and gateway to the fjords. This old trading port, surrounded by seven imposing mountains, has maintained its bustling harbor since the 11th century. Then, on to Troldhaugen for a visit to the inspirational home of Edvard Grieg, Norway's most famous composer, majestically overlooking the fjords. The guided walk continues to Bryggen, the wooden Hanseatic pier and adjacent quarters dating back to the Middle Ages, with its UNESCO-listed buildings. Time to tour the lively fish market and the surrounding narrow alleyways before transferring to Bergen's port to embark on your coastal cruise. Immerse yourself in the unique Norwegian sailing experience. As you journey through the fjords, you will call on many remote small ports that larger ships are unable to reach. Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
This was my fourth trip with Gate 1. Every trip has been above my expectations.
Gate One guides are so efficient and knowledgeable,
The Radisson Hotel was way above expectations and all others were very nice. The bus with wifi and charging ability was very nice and allowed me to share the trip with others while traveling. The food was extremely good and many more choices than expected. All flights, pickups and delivery were accomplished on time and with ease. The bag handlers were always there and made everything run smoothly with little effort on my part.
Gate1 trips match their advertisements Their Tour Managers are always very attentive and helpful.
Gate 1 always provides a wonderful service. It is just as they say it will be. So much to see.
