Tour Itinerary
Trekked by more than half of humankind’s ancient world, modern day Sicily still offers off-the-beaten-path discoveries that reveal an undiscovered side of Italy. The Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, French, Germans, Spanish, Italians, and even the British have left an impression on this gorgeous island, and it shows in its diverse architecture, unique culture, and multinational cuisine. As you trace the sparkling coast from the flamboyant capital city of Palermo to the ultra-chic Taormina Riviera, you can expect stunning archaeological treasures, ancient works of art, and a warm welcome at every turn, and a cool gelato on every corner. Traditional granita, cannoli, Marsala wine, and a tasting at Dolceria Bonajuto, Sicily’s oldest chocolate factory, only sweeten the experience on this Undiscovered Tour of Sicily.

Question: How many people on the tour?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Was supposed to be less than 20 travelers. We got 28. Three hotels did not have a/c nor heating. We were told to to open doors or windows to balcony
The Sicilian is an utterly amazing tour!!. Highly recommended. And Globus did a magnificent job. Sicily is beautiful, our tour guide was exceptional, and our bus driver was an expert.
Beautiful tour on The Sicilian, exceptional tour director made the trip a wonderful experience.
The trip was amazing! It is a very intense tour with a lot of walking, but we were up to the challenge.
The trip to Sicily was wonderful.... the services were great the tour was wonderful..... I recommend it to anyone... go and enjoy the wonders of Sicily.
The 10 day tour "The Sicilian" was a very positive and enjoyable experience. The Small tour made it a very congenial group and the hidden discoveries provided us with some unique experiences away from the regular touristy places. Our guide, Armando and driver, Salvatore were excellent.
This tour of Sicily was wonderful! It was filled with spectacular views and archaeological sites. The tour guide, was professional and knowledgeable. She shared historical facts, folklore, and a sense of humor. The bus driver, was skillful and calm.
I enjoyed my tour with Globus very much. The bus was very clean and new and comfortable. The driver was outstanding and our tour guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable. I loved the itinerary and it was a perfect way to travel. I would use Globus again for a future tour.
The Tour Guide Marisa was so professional and helpful specially since we had a problem. While I wish to see a lot more of what is offered, it is so tiring and dibilitating when you stay in one place and check in and check out. One can not really enjoy the places you see since you are jumping from one area to the other, packing and unpacking. I would like to have easy, slow and better absorption of the beautiful places before moving again. This type of vacation is not really my idea of a vacation. For the 10 days, 2 days in one place would have been nice and give us better appreciation of where we are staying. We were just so tired. So as far as I am concern I would be more into looking for a less hectic trip next time.
This tour was very well organized and we were more than pleased with our tour director, Elizabetta and our bus driver, Salvatore! The both of them took very good care of their charges and were warm and personable!
Hotels were not all of the same quality. Great disparities among them. Dinners provided (especially the hotel dinners) were tremendously disappointing. Some of the included excursions were also disappointing and would be better if left out and allowed travelers more of their own free time to explore the regions they were traveling in.
Great tour! Our tour director, Daniela, was the best and made our trip a great experience. The local tour guides were very knowledgeable and left us without questions on the sites that we saw. The Sicilian countryside is truly beautiful. We would highly recommend this tour to see the real Sicily.
Spectacular country, filled with many hidden treasures...
Globus put together a very good trip highlighting the treasures of Sicily.
The trip seemed a little disjointed. The meals in the hotels were sub standard as were the breakfasts. The hotels were not to bad,but one was pretty basic "the Mose" Not quite enough time for bathroom breaks,no toilet seats and most had to pay 50 cents. We were surrounded by the Mediterranean and couldn't get a decent fish meal through Globus.
Your director was the worst we've ever had. Never gave us enough information and kept changing times, never knew what was going on. Hotels were not in the heart of cities. Itinerary needs to be tweaked, some stops made no sense and some of the most beautiful cities were rushed through.
Meals were less satisfactory than expected. Meals were consistently bread, pasta, cheese. Not enough variety. There was too much down time on the tour. One morning we stayed at hotel for until noon, doing nothing, and nearest town was a 30-minute taxi ride away. Hotels were less than satisfactory. Some were not located close to city center, like Modica Beach Resort. Hotels' cooling systems were not satisfactory. Had to request staff to assist with a/c adjustments. While the optional Ortigia Island cruise was pleasant, the street food was not good, consisting of spleen and fried sardines. Our transfer from airport to hotel in Palermo could not be located when we exited the baggage claim area, though she later said she was there for us. The notes in documents said transfer times were 9, 11, 1, and 3:30. We arrived at 1:00, did not locate our transfer person, and took a shuttle bus to our hotel. Aggrigento was favorite stop. It beat out Athens' acropolis. Driver was excellent. Tour Director was good, but did not allow us adequate free time (usually an hour), and then we would arrive at hotel early, creating unnecessary down time;. Other travel companies, like Gate1, kept us busy all day by leaving hotels early (6:30 - 7:00) and did not leave us sitting at hotel twiddling our thumbs.
My two daughters and I enjoyed our trip very much. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that sharing a room for three adults was very comfortable. We were pleased with all of the guides and the ability of the bus driver as well.
Wonderful experience.
The trip was great. We had a wonderful time. Our tour guide Nicholas was fantastic, knowledgable, professional and funny. Everything went smoothly. Good itinerary. Would have like more free time in Ortigia and Catania, less free time in Noto.
